Premises Licences
The Hall is licensed for music (live and recorded), dancing, plays and similar entertainment. The Hall also has an alcohol licence but the sale of alcohol under this licence is restricted to local organisations approved by the Management Committee. All other hirers must issue a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) to South Oxfordshire District Council. For further details on the terms of the Hall alcohol licence see the Hire Agreement.
Liability Insurance
The Hall is insured against any claims arising out of its own negligence but Hirers are responsible for any damage or nuisance caused as a result of their hire of the Hall and should arrange their own insurance accordingly.
Fire Precautions
No naked flames or devices generating smoke are permitted on the premises; this includes candles, matches, night lights, indoor fireworks, smoke generators or portable heaters. Use of such devices will trigger the fire alarm, requiring the building to be evacuated.
